Acceleration. Speed. These are words that immediately make almost anyone think of driving or high performance car racing. For me, it’s especially true as my Father and Uncle built dragsters and raced them in National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) events when I was young. Sometimes the dragster was even parked in our front driveway! After years of effort, they broke and then held the North American drag racing speed record. Back then, hitting over 200 miles per hour on a straight track only a quarter mile long was a significant achievement. It took endless hours of work, tweaking engines, camshafts, experimenting with fuels and much more, all in the name of extracting every ounce of efficiency they could and staying ahead of the competition.
Meeting the demand for improving acceleration and performance is a continuous exercise. If you don’t do it, a competitor will and you will find yourself in second place, or worse. This analogy certainly holds true for organizations. The business landscape is littered with tales of companies that took their foot off the proverbial gas and found themselves later struggling to catch up. In the race for customers, there is also a continuous need for delivering a better customer experience, whether that be in reducing call center wait times, improving the ease of use in self-service web applications, or delivering a consistent and responsive experience across mobile devices. Every organization is looking for ways to improve content delivery times and drive an ever improving digital experience for their customers.
SDL is intently focused on delivering optimized customer experiences that can be deployed as expediently as possible. At our 2015 Innovate conference in San Francisco, we are pleased to announce our latest enhancement to the SDL Web solution portfolio, the SDL Digital Experience Accelerator. As organizational demand grows for more websites and faster delivery of information, it is critical to be able to respond quickly to business demand.
The SDL Digital Experience Accelerator lets you build websites significantly faster
It provides a quick-start foundation for web projects based on years of best practice, decreasing website implementation by up to 70%. What once might have taken weeks to deploy in complicated environments can now be done in days. This significantly lowers your site deployment costs, helps ensure standardized deployment across sites and shortens your overall time-to-value. In short, it accelerates the speed of your business and helps you stay ahead of your competition.
While my Father and Uncle were doing everything they could with the technology they had available at the time, they would not stand a chance with a dragster from the 1960s in today’s racing environment. The technology has continually improved and speeds over 300mph are now common. Technology continuously evolves and improves and the SDL Digital Experience Accelerator is designed to be no exception to this rule. Based on open-source technology, it is continuously improved by a community of developers, partners and SDL technical staff. As business needs expand technological requirements will change. The SDL Digital Experience Accelerator and the entire SDL Web product portfolio are built to extend and expand along with those needs.
If you are attending the Innovate conference in San Francisco, be sure to attend sessions and stop by the SDL demonstration area in the product showcase to learn about how you can accelerate the delivery of digital experiences in your organization. If you will not be joining us this year, please visit the SDL Digital Experience Accelerator information page where you can learn more and download the product brief for additional details.
Delivering an optimized digital experience quickly and easily has never been more important. Those who fail to do so will eventually be left by the side of the road. It’s time to step on the accelerator. You can read the full press release here.
