SDL Executive Summit Brings the Future of AI-driven Content to You!
Without doubt we are moving into an AI-first world, where machines now understand more about the content we are creating, translating and delivering. This is a topic close to our hearts at SDL and in January we announced a series of disruptive content trends for brands to watch over the coming year and beyond – SDL’s Five Future States of Content. Amongst other things, these trends look at the profound impact that AI and machine learning (ML) will have on the way content is created, managed and delivered to global audiences. We’re only a few months into 2018, and already we’re seeing some of these concepts spring to life.
Take the idea of self-organizing and self-creating content, and how it holds the potential to help you create more compelling content. Only recently global news agency Reuters announced it is building an AI tool to help journalists analyze data, suggest story ideas, and, ultimately, write more sentences. The tool doesn’t aim to replace reporters but instead augment their role with a “digital data scientist copywriting assistant.”
This AI-first world is moving fast – much faster than anyone anticipated. And with GDPR coming into effect next month, it’s only going to become more challenging for brands to keep up while remaining compliant, and we will look to technology to help us all reach a satisfactory outcome. Especially when you consider it’s humanly impossible to keep pace with current content demands. In the future, content will need to be agile, secure, and become your best sales tool.
AI is emerging as a technology to address these challenges and trends, but many companies lack the skills and talent to implement these new tools effectively.
This is why SDL is launching a series of Executive Summits throughout April and May looking at the impact of Linguistic AI on the future of intelligent content. Speakers from Content Rules, Acrolinx and SDL will outline how brands can adopt the latest advances in technology to capture a market in motion. We’ll also hear from companies like Akamai, NetApp, and VMware about the best practices they’re using to overcome global content challenges. The events, taking place across the US and Europe, will focus on the following key themes:
- Emerging content trends that are dramatically impacting business today and a glimpse into the future.
- What a global content operating model is and how it can solve brands’ content challenges with AI-driven customer journeys.
- Why Linguistic AI is unique and how it enables the future of content.
- How brands can prepare their business for this rapidly approaching paradigm shift with practical technology applications and processes that can be implemented today.
Of course there will be plenty of time for discussions and networking, and the chance to learn from industry peers on how they’re tackling some of their pressing challenges. If you’re in any of these locations, then why not join us? You may not need your own copywriting assistant just yet, but the events are designed to give you the tools you need to prepare for this exciting, more intelligent future – which is already here.
