This February, Brand Quarterly nominated Dom Kinnon, President, Global Language Solutions at SDL, as a 2016 Brand Champion along with 39 other outstanding leaders across various businesses. This is a major achievement for Kinnon, a loyal SDL brand advocate whose social media activity on Twitter and LinkedIn reflect his dedication to the “OneSDL” and the achievements of the company.
This annual award recognizes individuals who went above and beyond for their brand while gaining the respect of their colleagues and industry peers. Nominees were chosen by Brand Quarterly with the help of their readers who were asked to to nominate leaders whom they thought epitomized a Brand Champion. Readers defined Brand Champions as members of companies who were ‘front and center’ for their brand, executives who lead by example and inspired brand loyalty in their own teams, and those people who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to execute and maintain the brand’s messaging and delivery.
Once the nominations were pooled, Brand Quarterly narrowed down the diverse group of people to 40 finalists through a process of reviewing why and how often they were nominated, gathering more information about them as individuals and brand ambassadors, leaders, and drivers, and compared how well the nominees aligned with Brand Quarterly’s own philosophies on holistic and authentic branding.
