Wondering how walking the red carpet in London benefits the young adults that the Prince’s Trust helps?
A colleague and I recently travelled to the London Palladium for The Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards, representing SDL as a corporate sponsor. SDL is a strong supporter of the Prince’s Trust and so we were delighted to attend the Celebrate Success Awards, which celebrates the success stories behind some of the UK’s most exceptional young people.
During the evening we heard from the Award nominees: Young Adults from across the UK who bravely documented their journeys from hard times to success, via a series of video clips. As regional winners, they were well versed in their openness, articulating how the Prince’s Trust supported them and what the charity can do for others. It was a slick reminder that we should never give up on hope, no matter how desperate our dark days can seem.
Also sharing their stories were the Celebrity Ambassadors, including longtime supporters Philip Schofield, Claudia Winkelman, Nick Grimshaw and many more. Thierry Henry’s speech was a personal favourite and was just as honest and insightful as the Young Ambassadors. They then helped present the awards to the Young Ambassadors.
These parallel tales of adversity, inspiration and dedication go to show anything is possible, despite difficulties faced in life we are all equal and we left feeling thankful, proud and more buoyant to continue and develop this important corporate partnership.
