Members of SDL Thailand, and also SDL Vietnam, support the work of The Rejoice Foundation which provides medical, social and educational support to the poor, sick and underprivileged living in isolated rural communities in Thailand.
Rejoice extends its outreach to more remote communities in the Chiang Mai Province through a mobile clinic. The clinic covers over 3,500 km each month, making weekly visits to 300 families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Weekly deliveries of formula milk for children born to HIV+ mothers are made to prevent possible transmission of the virus from mother to child through breast feeding. In addition, 63 children affected by HIV/AIDS are supported by donations through educational scholarships.
SDL is one of the main sponsors of this Foundation and its support is crucial to help many families break out of a poverty trap.
